The 21st National Academic Conference on Spectroscopy, sponsored by the Spectroscopy Professional Committee of the Chinese Physical Society and jointly organized by the Key Laboratory of Mesoscopic Chemistry and the Key Laboratory of Epigenetic Geochemistry of the Ministry of Education (Nanjing University), was held from July 9 to July 12, 2021 at Nanjing University. The conference attracted nearly 400 experts and young scholars to participate. Wuhan Zhongke Oxford Spectroscopy Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the conference.  

At the meeting, several experts, scholars, and business representatives gave exchange reports on the latest academic ideas and development trends in the field of spectroscopy, mainly including nuclear magnetic resonance, electron paramagnetic resonance, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear quadrupole resonance, as well as theories, methods, technologies, and applications in related fields. Wuhan Zhongke Oxford Spectroscopy Technology Co., Ltd., as the only domestic enterprise specializing in the research and production of high field nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers, gave a wonderful report to the attendees.

Dr. Song Kan, the Chief Engineer, gave a detailed introduction to the company's development situation. In 2016, Zhongke Oxford successfully introduced the world leading Oxford Instruments' 400 MHz and 600 MHz high field steady-state high uniformity superconducting magnet technology. In the same year, the company established a subsidiary qOneTec AG in Zurich, Switzerland, and established a research and development base for high-resolution probes for nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers. The company has completed the development and user delivery of manual tuning and fully automatic broadband tuning probes. In 2019, the company successfully transferred the assembly, production, testing, and maintenance of probes back to China, further achieving resource integration and optimization of costs and services. The three major components of a high-performance nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (magnet, control console, and probe) are integrated to achieve advanced domestic manufacturing of high-end scientific instruments.

At present, the 300-600 MHz superconducting nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer series products have served more than 80 domestic users including Peking University, Xiamen University, Institute of Materia Medica of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, WuXi AppTec, etc., with a total installed capacity of nearly 100 units, breaking the long-standing situation of China's nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer relying entirely on imports. Since 2019, the company has actively explored overseas markets and participated in international competition. It has successfully achieved the sales and installation of more than ten instruments in the United States, Canada, Russia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and other countries.

Zhongke Oxford Marketing Department, together with R&D personnel from the Systems Department, Software Department, and other departments, attended the meeting to listen to expert user needs and ideas, and presented a feast of domestic high-tech nuclear magnetic new technologies and applications.
